Social Enterprise Berkshire held its annual awards evening at the University of Reading in July 2007, honouring the achievements of local social enterprises over the last year. Awards were given in 6 main categories and in addition 8 awards were given in recognition of the volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the sustainability of social enterprises throughout Berkshire. Nearly 200 people from a wide variety of community, voluntary, public and private organisations across the region attended the event and saw winners receive a trophy, certificate and a cheque for £150.00 whilst hearing how their enterprises have helped to change lives.
